  • Bridge of the Gods Summer Academy:  Click to apply for this opportunity.
  • American Indian Summer Institute in Computer Sciences: Offers a free two-week summer program where students work with professors, college students, and invited AI community members to develop interactive story projects that combine computer game technology with traditional AI culture.
  • Association of American Indian Physicians:Helps students select colleges and pursue health careers by providing various scholarships and internships/fellowships to Native American students.
  • LEAD Summer Business Institute: Is a 3-4 week college prep program for AI/AN high school juniors and is located at Stanford University, Duke University, Dartmouth College, and the University of Pennsylvania. 
  • National Congress of American Indians Youth Commission: Offers leadership development opportunities to young Native Americans and provides a platform for youth advocacy.
  • National Indian Youth Leadership Project: Empowers Native youth through experimental education.
  • National Native American Youth Initiative: Is an intense academic enrichment and reinforcement program designed to better prepare AI/AN high school students to remain in the academic pipeline and pursue a career in the health professions and/or biomedical research.
  • National Youth Leadership Forum: Helps prepare youth for their academic future and careers by exposing various professions to young people to lay the ground work for well-informed career choices.
  • Native Project Indian Youth Leadership Camp:Uses the power of traditional culture and fun to engage youth and families in healthy activities to prevent childhood obesity, diabetes, drug and alcohol use, school dropouts and teen pregnancy.
  • Natural Resources Youth Practicum: Provides hands-on learning experience for southwestern Native American high school students interested in careers in fishery and wildlife management, forestry, watershed management, or other natural resources fields.
  • Pathkeepers Indigenous Knowledge: Pathkeepers is a non-profit organization offering a summer camp for Native American youth ages 11-16. The camp focuses on traditional and cultural activities and healthy lifestyles. The camp includes a field trip to Washington, D.C. to meet Indian Affairs staff and officials. 
  • Patty Iron Cloud National Native American Youth Initiative: Is a 9-day summer program to promote health professions and biomedical research options among AI/AN students.
  • Wings of America:Uses running as a catalyst to empower AI/AN youth to take pride in themselves and their cultural identity, and increase self esteem, health and wellness, leadership, hope, and balance and harmony.
  • World Fit Walk: Is an initiative of the US Olympians Association and promotes health through walking programs in schools.
